Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Castlebar

We are deeply grateful to Paul Kilcourse, who is raising funds for the Order of Malta Ireland – Ambulance Corps Castlebar Unit and Community First Responders in memory of his father, Michael Kilcourse.

Michael sadly passed away on Father’s Day, 15th June 2025, while doing something he truly loved — cycling. Golf was another great passion throughout his life, and he proudly served as a former Captain of Castlebar Golf Club.

To honour his father’s memory, Paul will tee off at each of the 10 golf clubs across Mayo, cycling between every club along the route — an incredible challenge in support of two vital community services.

We wish Paul the very best with this inspiring journey and thank him sincerely for choosing to support our volunteers and Community First Responders.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Volunteers were on duty at today’s Connacht semi-final in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, where Mayo faced Roscommon in front of an official attendance of 15,321.

We provided ambulance and medical cover alongside Murray Ambulance Services. It’s fair to say one particular volunteer may even have brought a bit of luck to the visitors on the day. fans
