Today, I appeared before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters to outline the work underway in my Department to improve employment opportunities for disabled people across Ireland.

We are driving practical action through stronger employer engagement, early intervention supports and the work of the Forum on the Employment of Disabled People.

My focus is clear, creating more pathways into meaningful employment and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in working and community life.

Great news this afternoon that a second ASD class at Swinford NS has been approved, along with a modular extension to accommodate the new classroom.

This is an important investment for local families and will help ensure children with additional needs are supported in a modern, inclusive learning environment.

A sincere thank you to Principal Adrian Cregg, all the staff, and Board of Management for their continued dedication and work in securing this positive outcome for the school community.

Delighted to confirm €100,000 funding for the new Teen Zone at the Friary Ground, Ballyhaunis - a dedicated, accessible and all‑weather space where young people can meet, play music, enjoy table tennis and spend time together.

Huge credit to Peter Gill and his team in Mayo County Council for putting together this funding application, along with input from the local community groups. A great boost for a long‑established community area and for the young people who will make it their own.

Credit to my colleague Cllr. Alma Gallagher for always advocating for Ballyhaunis and all her engagement on the ground.

Tomorrow the people of Galway West go to the polls.

I am urging everyone that can, to get out and to vote for my good friend and colleague Sean Kyne.

He is the most experienced, the most hard working, and the most dedicated candidate on the ballot paper, and if elected, he will make a fantastic TD for Galway West again.

An absolute pleasure to have the second year students of Coláiste Pobail Acla in Leinster House today for a visit.

It’s always a privilege to bring students into the house of parliament and try to make our democracy more accessible.

Thanks to Mrs. Murtagh, Mrs. O’Reilly and Principal Mr. O’Mongain for organising the trip and making the long journey to Dublin.
