Met Eireann have issued a Status Red wind warning for Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, which will come into effect at 4am Friday morning and conclude at 12pm, midday, on Friday.

Due to the Red Alert warning the office of Clár I.R.D. will remain closed on Friday 24th January. Stay safe!

Clar IRD continues to work with Claremorris Chamber of Commerce to enhance Claremorris as a quality destination to live, work and do business in. Many thanks to the Chamber for facilitating the meeting and to Calleary TD for being so positive about our future plans for Claremorris.

It is with great sadness we lean of the passing of our board member and dear friend Austin Garvin (RIP). Austin made a huge contribution to the community and sporting life of Claremorris and County Mayo and served on the Board of Clar IRD for many years. A true gentleman, his local knowledge, generosity and kindness will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Clar IRD joins in the expressions of condolences to his wife Mary (nee O’Dwyer) family and friends.
