We had the pleasure of welcoming West Cork Travelers Centre Clonakilty Niamh, Shannon Carlos, and Tristan. An Post unveiled two new national stamps on behalf of the Irish state celebrating Irish Traveller history and culture and recognising the traveller community as a distinct and valued part of Irelands shared heritage.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity Christopher O’ Sullivan TD. An Post issued two new Protect Nature stamps developed in conjunction with Irelands National Parks and wildlife services. Thank you Christopher for taking time out of your busy schedule and calling to your local Post Office.

Friday last we had lovely entertainment from Ardfield National School. While the children sang people donated to the special Olympics Ireland. Well done to all the children, their teachers, Martin French and all the proud parents they are a credit to ye 👏👏👏👏

Clonakilty Post Office would like to express our sincere sympathies to our friend and colleague Gobnait O’Donovan, Delivery Service Manager, on the untimely passing of her husband Tom. Our thoughts are with Gobnait and family, Edel, Tom, Dan and Sarah and all the O’Donovan family at this very difficult time.
We remember Tom a kind person who always showed up, whether a local event, a neighbor in need, or simply a friendly chat, he gave time and energy with generosity and sincerity.
Tom’s contribution to the community wasn’t measured in grand gestures alone, but consistency, countless acts of care and encouragement over time. We will remember you always Tom RIP 🙏 from Clonakilty Post Office
