Goatenbridge is situated at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountains, on the banks of the River Tar and in the Parish of Ardfinnan/Ballybacon and Grange. The local Parish Church is located in Ballybacon. Local GAA Clubs are Ballybacon/Grange for hurling and Ardfinnan for football. Please feel free to
