Cork Alliance Centre

Cork Alliance Centre The Cork Alliance Centre provides a range of support services to both men and women in the Cork area who seek a crime free life after release from prison

The Cork Alliance Centre works with people released from prison and living in the Cork area. We support people to make a fresh start after prison, both in terms of reducing offending and increasing positive participation in family and community life, with the ultimate goal of living a crime free life. Desistance is the process by which people move away from crime and its associated behaviours. We

want to support you in your desistance journey, and help you to grow your awareness, understand consequences and explore alternatives so that you become better equipped to manage your life positively, and make changes that will last. Building a good relationship with you that will facilitate you to develop your confidence and self-esteem, encourage your personal development and motivate and support you to take action that will effect change in your life is central to our work. Getting out of prison can be the beginning of a difficult and challenging journey, and we are here to help. Your support worker will meet with you on a one-to-one basis, and together you will identify your goals, work on developing a plan of action, and then support you to sustain yourself on this plan and beyond.
