👋 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻, 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁, 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗵𝗶 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘀! 🇫🇷

The six friends were flying home to Paris Charles de Gaulle with Air France today after spending three fantastic weeks in Cork.

Students of Air Traffic Safety Electronics (ATSEP) in Toulouse, they came to Cork to sharpen their English skills with Cork English College, and it sounds like they made the most of their time here!

From exploring Kinsale and swimming at Myrtleville Beach to a day out in Killarney National Park, they've enjoyed some of the very best of the south of Ireland, helped by the gorgeous weather we've been lucky to have lately. 🌞

And when it came to sampling the local beverages, Murphy's Stout came out on top! 🍻

What they'll remember most, though, is the warm welcome and friendliness of the people they met during their stay. Better still, they're already planning a return trip, with some even taking home Cork GAA gear to wear proudly back in France. 🔴⚪

Bon voyage, gentlemen, and we'll see you again soon! ✈️ 🇮🇪 🇫🇷

It was a great pleasure to welcome Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Damian Boylan to Cork Airport today for a business briefing and airport tour.

The Lord Mayor was welcomed by airport managing director, Niall MacCarthy and deputy managing director, Roy O'Driscoll. Following the briefing, the Lord Mayor took the opportunity to view the progress on the construction of the new mezzanine floor and passenger security screening area.

Kinsale Arts Weekend starts today and will run until Sunday, July 12. This year, the festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

With more than 50 events across music, theatre, film, literature and visual arts, some of the highlights include acclaimed concertina player Cormac Begley, the powerful operatic performance "The Lament for Art O'Leary" featuring sopranos Emma Nash and Kim Sheehan, artist Jennie Moran's GHOSTIS, and works from renowned artist Dorothy Cross.

Over the past two days, we were pleased to welcome the College of European Commissioners to Cork, led by President Ursula von der Leyen, on their visit for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. 🇮🇪 🇪🇺

A huge thank you to our own airport team, our handling partner Weston Aviation, An Garda Síochána, Government departments and their EU colleagues who worked together to ensure that the arrivals and departure went off smoothly. ✈️

Today, Cork will welcome the European College of Commissioners as part of Ireland's Presidency of the European Council. 🇪🇺 🇮🇪

ℹ️ Passengers travelling today and tomorrow (2 - 3 July) should allow extra time for their journey to the airport due to possible temporary traffic restrictions in the surrounding area.
