This government has abandoned renters. Sinn Féin never will!

🚨 BREAKING! Sinn Féin’s Councillors Mick Nugent, Kenneth Collins, Fiona Kerins, Eolan Ryng, and Independent Councillor Thomas Moloney have today signed the letter required to trigger a full emergency meeting of Cork City Council on the lifting of the Eviction Ban. The letter has been formally submitted to the Ard Mhéara. At least 500 individuals and families in Cork face eviction because of the government’s cruel decision. We are fighting this decision tooth and nail!

On this day in 1918, Terence MacSwiney was elected to the First Dáil in the constituency of Mid Cork. A poet, philosopher, playwright, mayor and revolutionary, he would die less than 2 years later in Brixton Prison after 74 days on hunger strike. Our bravest and our best.
