Assist the public in maintaining adequate fire safety in buildings. The Department is located at four regional offices:

County Hall, Cork. (HQ)
Market Green, Midleton. Mallow Fire Station. In addition, the fire service operates from 20 fire stations around the county

🚒 Bantry Fire Brigade at the Bantry Agricultural Show! 🔥

The crew from Bantry Fire Brigade were out and about at the Bantry Agricultural Show today, meeting members of the local community and promoting fire safety. 👋

Gerard, Ivan, Colm, Steve, Ger and Luke were on hand at our Community Fire Safety stand, giving out free fire safety information and answering questions about home fire safety. 🏠🔥

Visitors also had the opportunity to get a closer look at some of the equipment we use in the Fire Service and learn more about the work our crews do in the community.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand for a chat today. We hope you picked up a few useful fire safety tips along the way! 👏🚒

A huge well done to Dave Quinn from Kinsale Fire Brigade, who took on the Cork Tower Run, along with everyone else who stepped up to the challenge! 💪🔥

The first event of its kind in Ireland saw participants tackle 17 floors of Cork County Hall, all in support of the life-saving care provided by CUH and CUMH. ❤️

A fantastic achievement by Dave and everyone who took part, raising funds and supporting a brilliant cause along the way.

Do you know how old your smoke alarms are? 🤔

If your smoke alarm is celebrating its 10th birthday, it could be time to retire it! 👋

Most smoke alarms should be replaced after 10 years, even if they still beep when you press the test button.

This Test It Tuesday:

🔴 Press the TEST button
📅 Check the date on your alarms
🔄 Replace any that have reached 10 years old
🏠 Make sure you have working smoke alarms throughout your home

A few seconds today could make all the difference when you need it most.

Yesterday our crew from Cobh Fire Service were down at the Irish Red Cross Cobh Branch Family Fun Day down in Cobh GAA.

Representing Cobh Fire Service on the day were our D/M Glen Sheridan along with firefighters Adam Foley, Paul Lyons and Niall Halligan. 🚒🔥

It was a brilliant day out, with plenty of fun and activities for all the family.

A big thank you to the Irish Red Cross Cobh Branch for inviting us along and to everyone who stopped by to say hello, meet the crew and check out the fire engine! 😊
