Enjoy a summer's day on West Cork's Long Island!

Enjoyed a lovely picnic and some fresh spring water after work this evening on Long Island at the beautiful picnic area. It has had a fantastic revamp in recent months thanks to our brilliant RSS workers, who reused and recycled materials throughout the project. They’ve done an amazing job, creating a wonderful space for everyone to relax and enjoy while visiting this beautiful island.

The West Cork Chamber Music Fringe Festival brings the Olympia Quartet to Sherkin Island Community Hall tomorrow, 30th June! 🎶

The Olympia Quartet was formed in September 2024 in the MTU Cork School of Music, under the tutelage of Christopher Marwood. The quartet consists of violinists Yevlaliia Yershova and Ellen Crowley, violist Charlie Duff, and cellist Adam Joyce.

Their energy and creativity draws them together as an ensemble, and draws in audiences too! 🎶☀️
