The all-island, two-day installation of artwork by the graduating students of the BA Visual Art Degree Programme is happening once again on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026.

All are welcome to come along and connect with the creativity of the West Cork Islands.

The 2025 Bere Island Arts Festival Programme has so much to offer from 18-21 September!

Highlights include legends of Irish music, Stockton’s Wing, local writer Carina McNally’s new play making its first appearance on Bere Island, and a special literary event featuring Paula Meehan, Theo Dorgan, Annette Skade, and Paddy O’Conor, honouring the poetic legacy of the late John O’Leary.

Acclaimed performance artist Amanda Colgan will lead a participatory workshop and present new performance work rooted in powerful physical storytelling.

Visual artists William Bock and Rachel Parry will engage audiences through video and tactile installations of their work while a screening of Housewife of the Year invites intergenerational reflection on Irish identity, and an international poetry competition opens space for emerging voices.
