Delighted to welcome Her Excellency the French Ambassador to Ireland Céline Place to the stunning Midleton Distillery last month for a truly memorable visit. The warmth of French-Irish relations was matched only by the warmth of Midleton hospitality!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Youghal for All Moby Dick Festival at the weekend. A wonderful celebration of our unique connection to cinematic history!

It was an honour to meet with Helen Heaphy Grainge, Chair of the Festival Committee, whose tireless work has made this event such a success. The passion and community spirit on display reminded me why Youghal holds such a special place in Cork's cultural landscape.

What a wonderful day in Youghal as we celebrated a truly remarkable milestone, Mrs Phil Curran turning 100 years young!

It was my absolute privilege to visit Mrs Curran to mark this special occasion. A century of life, memories, and contributions to our community, what an inspiration.

Happy 100th birthday, Mrs Curran! Here's to many more happy days surrounded by your loved ones. 🎉

What a joy it was to spend time in the heart of the Duhallow community on Wednesday, 20th May. My visit to Scoil Mhuire and the Western Duhallow SHED in Kiskeam reminded me of exactly why I am so proud to serve as Mayor of this incredible county.

At Scoil Mhuire, I was truly inspired by the energy, enthusiasm and talent of the pupils and the dedication of the wonderful staff who nurture them every single day. The future of Cork is in very safe hands! 📚✨

My visit to the Western Duhallow SHED was equally uplifting. The work being done there to support the wellbeing, independence and social connection of people across the Duhallow area is simply outstanding. Initiatives like this are the backbone of rural Ireland and deserve every bit of recognition and support.

To everyone in Kiskeam who made me feel so welcome, go raibh míle maith agaibh. It is communities like yours that make Cork County so special.
