The Order of Malta Ireland is part of an International Organisation working in over 120 countries, with a heritage stretching all the way back to the Knights Hospitallers who were brought to Ireland in 1174 whose mission was to 'serve the sick and the poor'. In 1934 the Irish Association or the Order of Malta Ireland was established and four years later in Galway in 1938, we launched the first Ord

er of Malta Ambulance Corps providing first aid, ambulance and casualty services to the local community.

Good luck to all our and members who start their exams tomorrow ☘️☘️☘️☘️

time can be stressful, but there are ways you can cope - remember to speak to others if you need help and your Order of Malta Ambulance Corps friends, cadet leaders, and Officer in charge are here to you too!

⏳ Take regular study breaks and make time for relaxation - watch TV, a film, or try mindfulness
🤸‍♀️ Take time for exercise - a walk is a great way to clear your head
☕ Limit your caffeine
😴 Eat well and make sure you get plenty of sleep - especially the night before - sleep helps with memory and understanding
🫂 Be kind to yourself and others
🧠 Be realistic with your expectations
🗣 Talk to others about your stress

Best of luck to all our volunteers starting their exams tomorrow - you can do it!

Today is International Day of Families

Families come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. For many of our members, Order of Malta Ireland Ambulance Corps feels like family, and for others it actually is !

Many members have joined with their parents, siblings, or even met their spouses here and gone on to start their own families in the Order of Malta! Some units are on their third generation of a family line with the fourth generation a bit to young for cadets (just yet!).

Happy International Day of Families to you and your family!

Thinking of all Niamh’s family and friends.
Especially her friends and extended family in the Order of Malta
May Niamh Rest in Peace.

It is with deep regret and sadness to inform you of the sudden passing of Vol. Niamh Johnston.

Niamh was a dedicated EMT in the Blanchardstown unit who was always eager to learn. She was a kind and friendly person who loved to have a laugh. She will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with her family in this difficult time.

RIP Niamh.
