It’s been brilliant to watch Friz bring new colour, texture and character to one of our key town centre laneways! We are delighted to announce that the finished piece is here for everyone to enjoy.

This mural project is funded by Love Drogheda BID and supported by Droichead Arts Centre alongside Penney's Drogheda, helping to brighten up Meatmarket Lane right here in the heart of Drogheda 🤩

A big thank you to DHS Complete Hire, Murtaghs of Drogheda and Louth County Council for their continued support. Along with a big round of applause for the amazing Friz!

The Oldbridge Summer Fair returns to the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June, from 10am–4pm daily.

Wander through stalls filled with local artisan food, crafts, plants, flowers and plenty of summer atmosphere right here on Drogheda’s doorstep 🤩

Free to attend and family-friendly, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a relaxed June weekend.

🎶 Fri 29th May: The Boyne Sounds Trad Music Series continues with Gary Curley & Stephen McKee Music & Micky Fearon in McHughs Venue. While the Night Moves Café at The Coffee Box offers zinemaking, DJs and coffee from 8.30pm on.

🛍 Sat 30th May: Stop by the Bolton Square Saturday Drogheda Market from 7am or at Wool Works from 12pm to 4pm. Join the Drogheda Food Tours, starting from Scholars Townhouse Hotel, tickets are linked in our bio!

🏰 Sun 31st May & Mon 1st June: Step back in time at Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre with Living History - Bringing the 17th Century to Life from 11am to 4pm, tickets are linked in our bio!

🌊 All weekend: Why not walk, cycle or run the Boyne Greenway from Drogheda to Oldbridge. You could also explore the DRAWDA Mural Trail, spread across Drogheda.

We’re delighted to reveal that acclaimed mural artist Friz will be creating our newest mural right here in Drogheda 🎨

Many locals will already know her incredible work through the much-loved Morrigan mural, a striking piece that has become part of Drogheda’s visual identity.

FRIZ is known internationally for her powerful large-scale artworks exploring mythology, folklore, history and our connection to place. Her murals bring stories to life in a contemporary way while celebrating cultural identity and strong female figures 🍀

🎨👀𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗲...

Work is now underway to prepare the wall for a brand new mural installation beginning next week.

Many thanks to Fausto Marini and Glen Rooney for their help in getting the space ready for this exciting project. It’s fantastic to see another creative initiative taking shape in the heart of Drogheda and we’re looking forward to revealing all the details very soon.
