Back out on the bog today at last. Injuries to my back and a hip operation has knocked my confidence. Last year slipped twice and was lucky to be pulled out of a drain. All good back # . Polly done well on her own without Pixie. Found two solid points , snipe were scarce. Bullet took off and straight to a tree 500 yrds off. So i left him there while we scouted the bog. Worked the dog back to were we entered, then called Bullet back to a dead bait pigeon. All safe happy to be back out .

Must have the slowest free lofted tiercels in the country. This fantastic summer , best of food. Last feather not quite there yet.

Swifty flew today , not near as good , kept so close to me . Hes confidence knocked but all good. Cheers.

Today Swifty was flying high for a lure demonstration for my guests. Up 150 mtrs when the wild female came in from nowhere and took feathers from him. Fear from me i dropped the lure and he jetted towards earth for safety. She appears to be last of the large wild females peregrines still about.

Spud has been difficult to get going. 2 steps forward 10 steps backwards , lacking confidence now at 24 weeks his first free flight for my American guests today . Thank god.
