With over twelve hundred students on three continents and forty academic staff, we are the largest School of our kind in Ireland. We offer professionally-oriented undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes which are characterised by strong industry engagement through internships, industry projects and industry accreditation. We have one of the strongest international profiles of any School in

Ireland, welcoming over 1000 international students from 53 countries to our programmes over the last five years with strong links with China and Tanzania in particular. Inward migration represents a high percentage of recruitment in the ICT sector in Ireland (up to 50%) and the ICT sector is very multi-cultural in its composition. It is important that our students are exposed to this diversity at an early stage in their careers. We have a substantive collaboration with counterparts the countries with the largest ICT sectors, we engage with multinational and indigenous companies operating in an international context to provide pathways to employment for our graduates and we have internationalised our teaching and research programmes to ensure we attract national and international students of the highest calibre and provide them with a quality international education and work placement experience. The school is also engaged in research in a broad range of disciplines including geographic information systems, games programming, computational creativity, knowledge management, elearning, universal access, ubiquitous computing, software quality, robotics, computer vision, computational linguistics and internet security. Dylan, a 4th-year Computer Science student, is part of Anaphero — a student-led team tackling severe allergic reactions with technology. Their AI-powered wristband monitors vitals, detects early signs of anaphylaxis, and sends real-time alerts to caregivers 📲🩺

TU Dublin School of Computer Science, in collaboration with Dublin Gamecraft, hosted another fantastic game development event! Creative minds came together to build games using Godot, Pico8, Unity, and board game formats while experimenting with open-source tools like Blender, Audacity, and XR Toolkit.

Big news! TU Dublin is spearheading the new ARC Hub for ICT, a €32M initiative aimed at turning cutting-edge technology research into thriving startups. Over the next five years, this project—led by top TU Dublin researchers—will help drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Ireland’s tech sector. 🚀
