FSAI updates advice on slush ice drinks for children aged ten and under

In response to a new risk assessment published by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the Food Safety Authority Ireland (FSAI) today issues updated advice for parents, guardians and caregivers that children aged ten and under should not consume glycerol-containing slush ice drinks due to potential side effects including headaches, nausea and vomiting.

Here, Dr Wayne Anderson, Director of Food Science and Standards, FSAI explains the importance of this advice.
