The Library Staff Facilities Committee is hosting its annual Halloween Table Quiz!

All staff are welcome, as are friends and family.
It will take place in the Pavilion Bar on Thursday 30th October at 6pm!

Fancy dress is optional, but encouraged! The spookier, the better. There will be prizes for best team name, best costume and more!

Teams of 5 max, and the quiz costs €5 per person. Please pay in cash! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Trinity VDP Society.

We invite all Trinity College Dublin students to join us as we co-host two conversation-style sessions around the use of .
We aim to discuss some of the concerns students have using the likes of Chat GPT in both everyday life and academic work.

These sessions are not being recorded, in order to encourage a free and honest flow of ideas, but slides from previous sessions are available on the HITS webpage.

1. Wednesday 12th, 15:00 - Ethics & Sustainability in AI: A Conversation: This workshop will introduce you to Critical AI Literacy – how to form a general overview of what Generative AI is and how it works, and to understand and articulate ethical issues regarding, human costs, bias and sustainability/resource use.

2. Thursday 13th, 15:00 - Applying GenAI: A Conversation: This workshop will focus on Generative AI in an academic context, specifically for a Trinity student. What are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats? Is it possible to use AI effectively, ethically, and critically? How do you cite it?
