🚨 MICAS is Hiring! Coordinator (ADON Grade) 🚨

Behind every great team is someone quietly making sure it all happens.

We’re looking for a permanent fulltime MICAS Coordinator to help drive one of the most exciting pre-hospital and critical care services, which is about to expand significantly. This isn’t an admin role. It’s about solving problems, coordinating people, improving systems, and helping deliver outstanding critical care to patients who need it most.

If you’re organised under pressure, thrive on variety, enjoy making complex things work, and want to help shape the future of critical care and retrieval, we’d love to hear from you!

Our numbers have grown.
As MICAS continues to expand, we’re delighted to welcome our new Critical Care Retrieval Fellows Dr Jamie Condren and Dr Paddy O’Leary, together with our new MICAS Coordinator Nick Wall.

We’ve promised them some challenging medicine, exceptional colleagues, and plenty of opportunities to learn, teach and grow.

We also told them the coffee was excellent.

Thankfully, we weren’t exaggerating about any of it!

Welcome to the team, we’re genuinely delighted to have you with us. Here’s to the next chapter for MICAS.

This week we said goodbye to our ORM Lucyna as she moves on to an exciting new chapter in her career within the HSE.

Over the last few years, Lucy has made an enormous contribution to CCRS through her professionalism, integrity, expertise and unwavering commitment to both patients and colleagues.

Lucy is someone who always made time for others, listened before speaking, and approached every challenge (there were many!) with good humour, wisdom and a genuine desire to help. She understood that people are the service, brought them together, built strong working relationships, and was always willing to support colleagues whenever needed.

Her leadership was evident through her actions every day. Her door was always open, her support was always available, and her focus was always on delivering the best possible service, even in difficult circumstances.

While we will miss her experience, friendship and steady presence, we are grateful for everything she has contributed we wish Lucy every success and happiness in her new role. She leaves with our respect, our thanks, and our very best wishes for the future! Thanks Lucy!

We were delighted to welcome HEMS Specialist Paramedics to our Cherry Orchard base this week for training on sedation, analgesia and anaesthesia with our CCRS adult team.
