Announcing the inaugural Dublin-Paris Residency Exchange 2026
➡ Open Call info below
We are delighted to announce French artist Alexandre Caretti as the first recipient of this exciting new artistic collaboration between Ireland and France, partnering with Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (TBG+S) and Bétonsalon - centre d'art et de recherche. This new residency exchange is presented in partnership with the Embassy of France in Ireland, Dublin City Council and the Embassy of Ireland France - Ambassade d'Irlande en France.
Alexandre will begin his two-month residency at TBG+S in Dublin this June. In return, a Dublin-based visual artist will head to Paris for an intensive research period at Bétonsalon from October to November 2026.
Alexandre Caretti (born in 1996 in Besançon) lives and works in Lyon. His work often forms an ambiguous and equivocal narrative that emerges from a focus on intimate doubts, fuelled by contemporary political questions such as the economy, work, love, and the art world’s ecosystems. Caretti’s practice recently has focussed on the intimate and political relationships which exist within and how they inform cultural identities. Having explored the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Caretti continues his research in Ireland, which will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from July–December 2026.
✨ Want to be the next recipient? The open call is currently live for a Dublin-based visual artist to take up the Paris exchange.
