Rescue 116 is one of five S-92 Helicopters proudly operated, from four bases, by CHC Ireland DAC for the Irish Coast Guard.

On Christmas Eve, the Irish Coast Guard - Howth responded to a drifting yacht, with a possible person onboard. Alongside Howth RNLI and Rescue 116, we swiftly assessed the situation. Thankfully, with thermal imaging, it was confirmed no one was aboard, and we were able to stand down. A huge thanks to our team and partners for another safe outcome!

Remember if you see someone in difficulty on or near the water dial 112/999 and request to speak to the Irish Coast Guard.
