Order of Malta Ambulance Corps - Ballygall Unit Founded in 1934, Order of Malta Ireland is a voluntary organisation serving communities and reaching out to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

The Order of Malta Ambulance Corps is a voluntary medical and community care charity with over 4,000 volunteers involved in over 80 units across the Ireland. We are a major provider of excellence in emergency care training (PHECC-accredited), medical services at large events, patient transport, community care, nursing services and assistance to other charities and emergency services in most of the

major cities and towns across Ireland. The Ballygall Unit was formed in 1972, by its first Officer in Charge Capt. Christopher Breen. The Cadet Unit was established two years later in 1974, with 6 cadets under the charge of Noel O'Callaghan.
