Garden Party in Aras an Uachtaráin!
On Friday 26th June three cadets from Dundrum Unit attended the Community Day Garden Party in Aras an Uachtaráin. They were invited by President Catherine Connolly. Having heard her speak about being a member of the Order of Malta on the news on St Patrick’s Day, Cadet Corporal Ellen Fitzroy wrote to the president as part of her Cadet of the Year project to find out more about her experience as a member. This led to their invitation to Aras an Uachtaran. They enjoyed a tour of the Aras, and had their photo taken with a portrait of Sean T OCheallaigh, a founding member of the Order of Malta in Ireland. There was entertainment, lovely food, dancing and even a chance to play games on the lawn. They really enjoyed talking to the other guests who worked with other community organisations, some had been members of the Order of Malta in the past and had great stories to tell!

Today, we saw EMT Class 27 complete their Major Incident Event! 🚑

EMT Class 27 took part in a challenging scenario that put their education and training to the test in the elements. ☔️

A huge thank you to the members from Dundrum, Order of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Harolds Cross , and Order of Malta Athlone unit who volunteered as patients, and to our many supervisors who assessed the students’ skills throughout the day.

Another special thank you to Catherine and Hannah from of Malta Ireland - Ambulance Corps - Cabra who did a fantastic job with the moulage!!

Congratulations to EMT Class 27 on successfully completing this important milestone in their training! 👏🚑

What an incredible day we had yesterday at the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon! This year marked the 44th running of this fantastic event, and it was a truly memorable occasion.

Members of Order Malta Ireland volunteered throughout the day, providing care and support to participants. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave up part of their weekend to help make the event such a success. It was wonderful to have units from across Ireland represented, and your support, dedication, and commitment were truly appreciated. Thank you all for playing such an important role in making the day such a memorable one.

Congratulations and well done to everyone who took part in the Mini Marathon. 🏃‍♀️🎉

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Dundrum unit! We had members attend the Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes. We’ve been providing cover at the 3Arena for several concerts.

We were also on site at the Ballinteer St John’s U11 Blitz and the Drivalia Sandyford 5K. Over the past 2 weeks, we supported multiple patient transfer requests.

We’re finishing the week at Leopardstown Racecourse ☀️

As always, a huge thank you to our members who consistently volunteer their time to support their community and regional duties.

Last night we celebrated Aidan O’Brien KMob, who took his vow of Obedience and moved to 2nd class within the Knights of Malta. Congratulations Aidan 🎉

The unit would like to extend our prayers and deepest sympathies to family & friends on the passing of Niamh, a member of the Order of Malta - Blanchardstown Unit

It is with deep regret and sadness to inform you of the sudden passing of Vol. Niamh Johnston.

Niamh was a dedicated EMT in the Blanchardstown unit who was always eager to learn. She was a kind and friendly person who loved to have a laugh. She will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with her family in this difficult time.

RIP Niamh.

Today we participated in the 2026 Eastern Region Cadet Competitions and the results are in..

🥇 1st place: 2 person team

🥈2nd place: junior cadet of the year

🥉3rd place: senior cadet of the year

Congratulations to everyone today. The Dundrum cadets have shown great dedication during the meetings over the past few weeks. They have been outstanding, and all the cadets should be incredibly proud of themselves. The Dundrum leaders are extremely proud of the commitment, effort, and teamwork they’ve shown. A well-deserved pizza party awaits at our next cadet meeting 🥳
