Moving country is one of life’s biggest adventures, but if you’re doing it with small children in tow, it can also be one of the most emotionally complex. Between packing boxes, visa paperwork, and finding a new school, there’s one thing that often gets pushed down the to-do list: helping your little ones actually feel okay about it all.

We're pleased to feature a special blog post from Laura, founder of Laz & Lucky - a children’s YouTube channel rooted in Irish culture, folklore, and identity!

Whether your family is currently living abroad, planning a big move, or navigating the bittersweet journey of returning home, Laura made Laz & Lucky for children like yours.

Thanks to the Irish Independent for featuring Crosscare Irish Diaspora Support Project yesterday.

In 2025, we provided support and assistance to 1,508 Irish people and their family members, many of whom were returning from abroad. We provided information, helped them to navigate administrative red-tape, and linked them in with supports in Ireland.

Our work is made possible our parent organisation Crosscare and Ireland's Emigrant Support Programme administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland.
