The Embassy of Malaysia in Dublin joined Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and Education Malaysia London (EM London) for an engagement session with Malaysian students today.

The session marked Ambassador Sharon’s first engagement with the Malaysian student community, providing an opportunity to welcome those who have recently arrived in Ireland and hear about their experiences as they begin their studies.

The Embassy looks forward to continuing this dialogue and creating more opportunities to connect with Malaysian students in Ireland in the future.

The briefing provided an opportunity to share more about Malaysia’s diverse higher education offerings and its appeal as a modern, progressive and multicultural country. It also highlighted Malaysia as an attractive destination for education with potential opportunities for students, lecturers, families and working adults.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on Malaysia-Algeria relations and explore areas of mutual interest, including opportunities to further deepen bilateral ties and strengthen cooperation in multilateral fora.

On 27 August 2026, Ambassador Sharon Ho met with Mr Barry Ward TD, who represents Dún Laoghaire in the Irish Parliament.

They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and discussed ways to further strengthen engagement between Malaysia and Ireland. The meeting also provided an opportunity to share perspectives on developments in both countries and explore opportunities for greater cooperation and closer connections between the people of Malaysia and Ireland.
