Hello neighbours!

The Royal Canal Park Community Association had a quick visit blink meeting this evening and we are happy to share about the 3 projects / ideas we are thinking at the moment:

- Small Canalpalooza, only food and music, first Saturday of September
- ⁠Community Exchange Market in the Community Center, for adults and children, cadence to be defined, starting end of September
- ⁠Market Fair in Crescent Park, DCC to give feedback on support and feasibility

We’ll meet again in 2 weeks to discuss next steps.

🏡 RCPCA Community Meeting – Back in Person & Online!

Following the great success of Canalpalooza, we're getting together again, both in person and online, to discuss and plan the next events and activities for our area.

We have plenty of ideas to explore, including:
* Making better use of the Community Centre
* Smaller monthly events in collaboration with local businesses and community partners
* Activities for families, residents, and neighbours
* New initiatives to strengthen community connections and improve our area

This is your chance to help shape the priorities for our community. The more voices we have, the better we can understand what matters most and turn ideas into action.

Please join us, share your thoughts, and be part of building an even stronger community. Together, we can make the most of the energy, skills, and passion that exist within our neighbourhood.

🌟 Canalpalooza was just the beginning! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, supported, and helped make Canalpalooza such a fantastic success. The energy, diversity, and sense of community we experienced together on Saturday showed what is possible when neighbours come together.

As we said from the start, this event was never meant to be a one-off occasion. It was the beginning of something bigger.

The Royal Canal Park Community Association has many ideas for future activities, events, and initiatives to make our neighbourhood an even better place to live. We also want to explore how we can make the best possible use of our Community Centre as a hub for residents of all ages and backgrounds.

Next week, we will hold a Community Association meeting to start planning the next activities, events, and initiatives. The exact date, time, and online meeting link will be shared shortly.

🎉 Are you ready for tomorrow? After months of planning, Canalpalooza is finally happening! We can't wait to see you all at Crescent Park from 10:30am.

And yes, we're going to be brave enough to say it out loud: it looks like it's not going to rain! ☀️ The weather forecast is looking great, so fingers crossed for a perfect Canalpalooza day.

Bring a blanket, some water (especially for the kids), leave the car at home if you can, and come enjoy a fantastic day with your neighbours. See you tomorrow! 🎶🌳🍔

☀️ SUMMER EVENT UPDATE: ROYAL CANAL PARK ☀️

Hi everyone! We had a very productive meeting regarding our big summer event on June 13th. Here’s the latest:

🤝 Official Support: We met with the Dublin City Council and they have officially confirmed their support! We are now moving full steam ahead with the agenda.

📣 THE NAME: We are thrilled to announce that the event finally has a name, and it’s a big one...
🌊 CANALPALOOZA 🌊

✨ What’s in store?
We’re lining up an incredible day featuring:
🦙 Alpacas | 💃 Zumba | 🥁 Samba
🎶 Live Music | 🍔 Food Trucks | 🪴 Gardening Workshops..and many more activities to be confirmed!

💪 WE NEED YOU!
To make CANALPALOOZA a success, we are looking for about 10 active and committed volunteers. If you want to help shape this event for our community, we need your energy!

Hi everyone!

We’re making great progress with the Royal Canal Park Summer Community Event on June 13. We’ve gathered many ideas and proposals, and we currently have around 10 confirmed volunteers. However, we’ll need at least as many more to ensure the success of the event—especially considering the number and variety of activities planned and the large turnout we expect.

Dublin City Council and other institutions are currently waiting for our input, and we are actively working on that.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 25 at 8:00 PM, in the Management Suite opposite Centra, or online.

Dear all,

Once again, we had a fantastic turnout at our latest Royal Canal Park association meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined!

We are delighted to confirm that Dublin City Council has officially approved the plan and budget for our Summer Event 2026. An indicative date has been identified as Saturday, 13 June 2026 , so please mark your calendars!

The discussion was incredibly productive, with a huge range of ideas and opportunities explored, including:

A main stage with live music and performances, Hosting a farmers’ market, Showcasing local community groups and sports clubs, Food trucks, Bike engraving, Involvement of the local school, Pet show with a a children’s jury and amazing prizes!!! And obviously activities dedicated to children and families, clowns and face painting.

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, 12 March at 8:30pm, both in person and online. We will discuss the next steps following the ongoing conversations with Dublin City Council and the other institutions involved. We are really looking forward to seeing you all again and continuing to build this exciting community event together.
