Rainbow Community Playgroup is a community playgroup located in Stonybatter and George's Hill Presentation Primary school. In Rainbow Community Playgroup our focus is on the child and we are passionate about following each child's interests! We have a team of enthusiastic early years' educators who get to know each and every child, act as a play partner with each child and plan learning experience
s based on the children's interests that will aid in a wide array of development from fine motor skills to imaginative skills to social skills and sensorial skills. We do this by including in our day free play, so that each child has the opportunity to explore their own interests and take control of their own learning. We do this through our circle time where we discuss the day, the weather, the season, sing songs and read stories. We do this through planning and reflection of play. We do this through small group learning experiences where children have the opportunity to interact with new materials or new types of play. We do this through our large group experiences and movement experiences. We do this through our child centred approach which is paramount in early childhood education.
