We have been contacted over the past week by a couple of residents in the local area who’s smoke alarms are no longer in date. Smoke alarms only have a 10 year lifespan, if your house was built over 10 years ago there’s a high possibility they have never been changed.

At this time of year there is a much higher risk of house fires!
In the UK figures from 2016 show that 31% of house fires were in homes that had faulty smoke alarms.
