Honouring St Brigid with an Evening of Women Empowering Women ✨

Last week, Ambassador Kara Owen welcomed an incredible group of women to the Residence to celebrate St Brigid’s legacy — a legacy of courage, creativity, and women forging their own paths. 🌼

We brought together senior female leaders from across the UK–Ireland partnership — foreign policy and security, energy and maritime, trade and growth, and people‑to‑people connections — for a powerful round of career speed‑mentoring with early‑career professionals.

The room was full of advice, encouragement, honesty, and connection. Our mentors generously shared insights from their journeys, while mentees brought curiosity, ambition, and fresh perspective. Together, they sparked conversations that will shape the next generation of talent.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the vox pops and joined us for such an energising evening — your voices and experiences are what made it special. And heartfelt thanks to all our mentors and mentees for giving their time, wisdom, and enthusiasm.

We’re also proud to have been supported by two brilliant female‑founded sponsors: Rascals Brewing Company and Folc Wine. 🍷✨

Here’s to the women who lead, the women who lift, and the women who are just beginning their journey. And here’s to many more St Brigid’s Days spent celebrating strength, renewal, and the power of women supporting women. 💛
