Happy Constitution Day! 🇩🇰

Today we celebrate the fact that Denmark has been a democracy for 177 years, safeguarding basic rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and the right to vote.

This year's Constitution Day comes just days after Denmark formed a new government, making it a timely reminder of the importance of democratic institutions and civic participation.

Did you know that the Danish Constitutional Act is one of the oldest in the world? 🌍📜

Welcome to Dublin, Georg Stage! ⚓🇩🇰

The Danish tall ship, Georg Stage, which is the world’s oldest civil training ship, has anchored in Dublin Bay.

The ship was built in Frederikshavn in 1934, taking over from the original from 1882, and has since then served as a training platform for young people pursuing a maritime education.

We wish the crew a great time in Dublin and a safe onward journey! ☀️🇮🇪

Smarter borders, stronger security. The EU has one of the most modern border management systems.

The Entry/Exit System (EES), which will be fully operational from 10 April onwards, uses biometric checks and helps detect criminals and those who use fake passports.

🇩🇰🇫🇮🇮🇸🇳🇴🇸🇪🇫🇴🇦🇽🇬🇱 Happy Nordic Day! 🎉

Nordic Day, celebrated annually on 23 March, marks the signing of the Helsinki Treaty in 1962, which established the framework for cooperation between Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and the autonomous territories Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.

In 2026, Denmark holds the Presidency of this cooperation format, also called N5.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! 🇮🇪

Did you know that green wasn't always Ireland's colour? Saint Patrick's Day was originally associated with blue and green only took over centuries later. Now it's everywhere!

Every year, parades fill the streets of Ireland in honour of Saint Patrick, who arrived on the island in 432 CE and helped bring Christianity to its people. He famously used the humble shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity and the rest is history. ☘️

Whether you're celebrating in Dublin or halfway across the world, we hope your day is filled with good craic!
