H.E. Mr. Manish Gupta, Ambassador of India to Ireland, and Mrs. Nimeesha Gupta joined the India Day celebrations organized by the Ireland India Council (IIC) under the leadership of Mr. Prashant Shukla at the Trim Castle Hotel.

The vibrant event welcomed distinguished guests, including Cllr. Sarah Reilly, (Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council), local Senators, and public representatives. India Day serves as an important platform for showcasing rich Indian heritage, traditional performing arts, cuisine, and a beautiful fusion of Indian and Irish cultures while fostering deeper community integration.

The cultural celebrations were preceded by an Ireland-India Trade and Education symposium that brought together distinguished academics and business leaders to explore new avenues for bilateral cooperation.

The Embassy of India, Dublin hosted the launch of the website for Indian Ladies in Ireland (ILI), bringing together distinguished figures, community leaders, and eminent personalities from various walks of life.

The website was jointly inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Manish Gupta, Ambassador of India to Ireland and spouse Mrs. Nimeesha Gupta, Ms. Emer Higgins T.D., Hon. Minister of State at the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, H.E. Mr. Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India, Ms. Frances Fitzgerald, former Tánaiste and former Member of the European Parliament and Cllr Supriya Singh, Founder and Chairperson, ILI.

This platform will showcase ILI’s initiatives, empower women, promote leadership, and strengthen community networks. The event celebrated the vital role women play in deepening people-to-people ties and building closer bonds between India and Ireland.
