In 2009, the last time Oasis played Dublin 2,900 people were homeless - in the years since that number has skyrocketed to just under 16,000 with countless others in hidden homelessness. We’ve had the same disastrous ideas, politics and parties running our country since 2009(and long before then too) and it’s proven again and again that their ideas do not deliver on the very basics of providing for ordinary people. On housing, disability, the cost of living and their endless grubby deals we need to organise a fight to replace them once and for all and put ordinary working people first, not the billionaires, not the corporate landlords, vulture funds and definitely not the oligarchs in Washington and Brussels demanding Ireland how to their militarist agenda.

Dublin City council will increase your property tax today.

In the Clontraf/Marino ward alone 5 of the 6 councillors are in favour of the increases and some of those increases are up to 34%.

Labour, the Greens, FF-FG and ind all digging deep into your already tight budget.

The US bombed Iran last night. This is the latest escalation by America, the real rogue state.

After letting Israel commit genocide, and then launch attacks on Iran, Trump has decided to join the bombing. It is barbaric and must end!

Washington's justification is that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.

Firstly, this is the height of hypocrisy. The US and Israel are both nuclear nations, and the US is the only country that's ever used one, dropping 2 on Japan to the most horrific of consequences.

Secondly, very few people actually believe Iran are developing nuclear weapons. Even America's own intelligence services don't believe it, though they only admit that behind closed doors.

The Director of National Intelligence, appointed by Trump, was crystal clear on March 25: "The Intelligence Community continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized the nuclear weapons programme he suspended in 2003."

But the truth has never stopped the West from starting wars for its own imperial interests. They lied about Iraq - and over a million people died as a result. They have lied through their teeth about the genocide in Gaza.

And now they're bombarding us with wall to wall propaganda about Iran to justify dropping "bunker buster bombs".

Meanwhile, governments will spend huge sums on wars, but then cry poverty when people need housing or good public services. Working class young people get sent off to fight and arms companies make astronomical profits.

We urgently need a mass anti-war movement:

🇵🇸 One that continues to fight to end the genocide in Gaza

🚫 One that stands up to the United States and says "hands off Iran!"

✊ One that challenges establishment politicians here at home to take real action, including warplanes out of Shannon, stop Invest NI funding parts for F-35 jets, end Israeli war bonds being sold through the Central Bank, and real sanctions on Israel!
