Hi athletes, parents, Coaches,
It was great to see all of you who logged on to our Zoom gathering last Sunday. The Covid-19 pandemic has made this a difficult time for all of us and it is very important that we try to stay as fit as possible now, without access to our normal activities and the swim training. Niall is making himself available for another Zoom session on Sunday next 10th May at 4 pm. We hope as many as possible will log on and join us for a brief chat and an exercise session. Stay safe, stay fit.

Hi Athletes,
Margaret found the attached exercise programme on line and we feel it is worth sharing. Remember, it’s important to stay fit and healthy so doing as many of the exercises on the video as you can should help with that. Parents, you might even be able to join in😊. Get going and stay safe and well. https://youtu.be/4wzoy_J3I

Update regarding IDSSO’s position on swim training and the Covid-19 virus. In keeping with HSE guidelines if you are feeling unwell, have been in an infected area or in contact with any infected persons, please stay away from training sessions until it is safe to return.

There is no risk of picking up the virus from the pool water. In general Swimming pools are usually cleaner than a lot of public places due to chlorinated water in the swimming pool and showering. It is important that all of us keep ourselves informed in order to stay safe and healthy.

I was delighted to attend the CARA National Seminar for Inclusion on behalf of IDSSO. It was great to link in with people from other organisations and see familiar faces. The seminar was interesting as always with inspirational speakers. Growing Strong Together was the theme for the seminar and IDSSO are proud to be part of the march forward towards inclusion for all.
