Hello Everyone, we at the ISEP are back after quite the hiatus and we would just like you all to know that registration to be part of the 2019 organizing team is officially open!
We have done a lot of research on the structures of MEU’s throughout Europe, and though this event is not going to be as intensive, we believe that it will be an excellent foundation for any future groups who may want to establish something similar going forward.
Positions are open to all people, of all fields of study, from any university, so long as they will be available for group meetups in Dublin on a regular basis.
No prior experience in either the participation of or organization of these types of events is required, but we at the organizing team will, of course, welcome the insight of those who have worked in these kinds of events in the past.
Roles are not set as such, but we would encourage candidates to show a preference for any of the following:
Content – This category involves the creation of and setting of the scope of materials which shall be discussed at the ISEP. The Content team shall elect a Commissioner to propose the directive or regulations generally, as well as determine the stakeholders to appear as lobbyists throughout the simulation.
Legal and Political Support – Legal officers shall review any amendments submitted by participants to make sure that they are compliant with EU law, additionally, they shall endeavor to provide guidance where a participant is unsure of the legal status of their proposed amendment. Political officers shall provide general party guidance to further clarify what their party’s position is on a given topic. They shall endeavor to provide materials that the participants are likely to find useful and advise the more inexperienced members on the procedural rules that govern the event.
Sponsorship and Partnerships – The primary role of this group is to secure either financial or administrative support for the ISEP itself, as well as for any evening entertainment that will be proposed by the events team. They shall ensure that any group that sponsors the event shall receive adequate representation and acknowledgment
Events - This group shall be responsible for any evening entertainment accompanying the event as well as any provisions necessary throughout the ISEP. They shall also endeavor to organize the provision of travel details for those who are not familiar with the venue.
Correspondence – External correspondence shall work closely with the administrative bodies of the potential venue for the ISEP in order to ensure that the event runs smoothly. This shall include the sourcing of relevant materials from interested parties who may wish to assist in supporting the event. Internal correspondence shall endeavor to accurately relay any relevant information gleamed to the organizing committee in a timely fashion.
Public Relations – This shall include the management of any social media accounts, the organization of poster campaigns to attract participants and the drafting of presentation speeches for lecture theatres or any other venue where participants may be found.
Please use the form below to record your responses.

Looking forward to meeting you all,
