📣 [Open Call] Smart D8 announces Call for Pilot Projects 2025! 📣

Following four years of success in engaging Enterprise, Academia and a range of relevant stakeholders, the Smart D8 initiative has delivered 16 impactful and scalable pilots. In 2025, this engagement will continue with a fifth open call for pilots.

🌍 Smart D8, a population and demonstrator, has just launched a new open call for projects focused on three key themes:

➼ Connected Patient in the Community
➼ Positive and Healthy Ageing
➼ Community

Supported by an innovative partnership model to address health and challenges identified by the community, the 2025 pilot call is open to , , and Public and Private sector organisations at any size who can:
🔵 offer innovative solutions that address unmet community needs in the 45,000-strong catchment of the Dublin 8 area
🔵 be enabled by collaboration with Smart D8 partners, and
🔵 measurable population health in a real-world environment with an ability to

The delegation led by Vuong Quoc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, were very interested to learn more about Smart Dublin and the Smart District Programme focusing on Health and Wellbeing in Smart D8, Connectivity and Engagement in Smart Docklands and Academy of the Near Future and sharing our future plans for the digital twin programme led by Dr. Mani Dhingra✨

Last week, Smart Balbriggan held a VR showcase demonstrating the 3D Model of the proposed development 'Creative Hub' at 2 – 4 Dublin Street. 💡

The creative hub will support STEAM activities, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, focusing strongly on training and enterprise.😃

This is currently at the planning phase and the public can make submissions on the proposed development - closing date 11th August. Full planning pack available at Balbriggan Public Library, Georges Square, Balbriggan, Co Dublin, K32 TW27 or the link below.⬇
