An Garda Siochana are advising of a scam currently circulating on WhatsApp. The message can start with "Good Morning, I changed my phone." It will appear to have come from one of your contacts. Please do not send verification codes in reply to any requests.

Clicking the link may delete your account and allow scammers access your contacts.
Its possible the message may also appear to be from WhatsApp looking for you to verify your account.
Delete these messages and do not click on any links.

Your bank will never ask you to download a remote access tool OR a screen sharing tool to your phone. This goes for any bank.

Genuine tools like Teamviewer or Anydesk are used by the criminals to take control of your device.
