Manna Drones, a drone delivery company has said its service will be operating in Dundalk ‘within weeks’.

18/05/2026

At this month’s Louth County Council meeting I raised a number of important issues affecting people across Dundalk South.

🏠 Long waits for housing transfers and the need for greater transparency and fairness for people on the transfer list
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Issues around CBL and family sizing
🚶 Footpath repairs and accessibility improvements
🪧 Bilingual signage around Slí na Laochra
🚁 The need for proper planning and public consultation around drone services in Dundalk
💶 Support for Cllr. Fisher’s motion to scrap the USC
🌊 Calling on the Council to recognise that Priest Beach is a swim area that has been used for decades and should receive regular water testing

Working to ensure local voices are heard and our communities are properly represented. 💚

This evening in Dundalk market Square at 7pm. Everyone welcome!

On this, Tuesday 5th May, there will be a Black Flag vigil in Drogheda (6pm) and Dundalk (7pm) to remember and honour Bobby Sands.

Bobby died after 66 days on Hunger Strike on 5th May 1981.

Elected as MP before his death - his actions, alongside those of his fellow protesting prisoners and Hunger Strikers, scuppered British attempts to criminalise the Irish struggle for Freedom.

Bobby Sands continues to inspire millions across the world and guides us always as we continue to strive towards an independent, united Ireland.

Tá an lá sin ag teacht.

Black Flag Vigil on the Bridge of Peace, Drogheda, Tuesday 5th of May, 6pm - 7pm.

Dundalk - Market Square at 7pm

Everyone welcome.

Everyone welcome.

Everyone is welcome to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Seamus Ludlow.

Seamus was found murdered close to his home on 2nd May 1976. No one has ever been charged with his death and what followed over the next 50 years stinks to high heaven.

There was a narrative put out about Seamus and his murder that kept the family from joining together to seek truth and justice.

Lies were told. The Garda ‘investigation’ was suspect to say the least and the government never followed through on the Barron Report, recommending they establish a commission of inquiry.

The way the Ludlow family has been treated has been disgraceful and distasteful and there appears to have been an active campaign to prevent them from getting the truth of what happened and from getting justice.

Seamus Ludlow is a man that deserves better, deserves justice.

He will be remembered ✊✊✊

Out and about this evening bringing updates on the work that is being done by Ruairí Ó Murchú TD and our local Councillor Sionainn McCann.

The rising cost of living is hurting workers and families. Energy credits are needed, support is needed, costs have to be offset for people to survive.

This evening we were in the Quay area. If you have any issues, please contact Cllr Sionainn McCann or Ruairí Ó Murchú - details are on the Newsletters.
