The Glynn Collection Exhibition Launch

Clare Local Studies & Archives is delighted to invite the public to the launch of The Glynn Collection Exhibition on Tuesday 18 August at 6.30pm in De Valera Library, Ennis.
This exhibition presents highlights from the Glynn Collection, a remarkable archive documenting the commercial, social, and civic life of County Clare and Ireland from the late eighteenth century onward. Through business records, correspondence, photographs, and more, it offers vivid insight into generations of the Glynn family and the county’s wider history.
The launch will include a talk by historian Dr. Paul O’Brien exploring the significance of the collection and the contribution of the Glynn family to the economic and social development of Clare.
Clare Libraries thanks the Glynn family for sharing this important archive and acknowledges the support of The Heritage Council through the Heritage Stewardship Fund and Ceangal: The Local Authority Heritage Programme.
The exhibition will be available to view during library opening hours until Wednesday 11 September.
