Clare County Arts Office is committed to providing public access to the arts, the creation of new work and support for artists of all disciplines in Clare. The Arts Office of Clare County Council www.clarearts.ie is based within the Clare County Library Service. www.clarelibrary.ie

We are located in Súil Gallery, Causeway Link, Ennis, Co.Clare V95 DKP5 next door to glór. Clare Arts Office was the

first Arts Office to be created within a local authority and celebrated 25 years of activity in 2010. It is widely regarded as a leading arts service particularly in the areas of traditional arts and visual arts. Current projects include

The Arts Office runs the Tulla Stables Studios, the EASI studios in Ennis and Cúltúrlann Sweeney in Kilkee, as well as Súil Gallery. It provides financial assistance to a number of festivals in the County including the Willie Clancy Summer School, Mountshannon Arts Festival and Ennis Book Club Festival as well as numerous events and projects throughout the county. It is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and works with numerous partners at local and national level including other Local Authority Arts Offices, disability organisations in Clare, Health Service Executive, Age & Opportunity, The Arts Council, LCETB, Clare Youth Services, Comhaltas and Visual Artists Ireland.

Some pictures by photographer Fiona Cushley of Christina Bennett’s collaborative project Through Our Hands being finished off in Shannon library. The work is currently being exhibited as part of the Up the Banner exhibition in the Súil Gallery in Ennis. For ran Reels on Wheels, bringing trad players into the homes of Meals on Wheels clients in Shannon.
Trad performers Paddy Mulcahy
Lenka Fairy and aineheslin visited people who are housebound bringing creativity and culture into the homes of people in Shannon.
The project was run with the support of in Newmarket-in-Fergus who run Meals on Wheels in Shannon.

Step into the spotlight with Clare Youth Theatre!

This fun and interactive beginner theatre workshop introduces kids to the exciting world of acting and performance. Through games, improv, and simple scene work, participants will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork while learning the basics. No experience needed- just bring your imagination and a willingness to play!

A great way to try out Clare Youth Theatre before we open for new members in September.

Suitable for young people going in to or in secondary school.
