We were delighted to be involved in the official flag raising and reception to mark Ireland's hosting of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and County Clare's pairing with Croatia, yesterday, Wednesday 08 July at Áras Contae an Chláir.

Local Clare talent was on show throughout the reception with beautiful singing of the anthems by the wonderfully talented Dean Power, accompanied by Joe O'Dubhghaill and Celia Donohue. The poem ‘Postscript’ by Seamus Heaney was read by Eleanor Feely and musicians from Ennis Trad Festival did us proud.

All of this was really enjoyed by the Irish Ambassador to Croatia, Wendy Dorman Smith and Croatian Ambassador to Ireland, Davor Vidiš,

Yesterday Artists Valentyna Kyryliuck and Taryn de Vere were in Shannon Town Park making environmental art and supporting the public to make art from nature.
Small installations were created in various places around the park so people could be surprised and delighted and engage with the natural world in a new way.
