With your library card you can borrow up to 12 books, CDs or DVDs at a time for 3 weeks, and if you need them a little longer you can renew them over the phone or online. We also have Free WI-FI, and free internet access, all you need is your library card! 💫Back by popular demand, we're excited to invite you to our Sensory Magic Table Event.💫

The Magic Table (Tovertafel) is a sensory-friendly device that projects interactive games onto a table (using image and sound) and infrared sensors respond to the hand and arm movement of the players.

The Magic table consist of a series of interactive light games which include chasing bees away, splashing in water, target practice, sweeping up leaves and a drum kit with interactive drums.

Each 30 minutes session is suitable to accommodate one family unit or a small group (up to 7 people), ensuring intimate and engaging experience.

🚴Bicycle Storytime and Craft🚴‍♀️

Join us in Enniscorthy Library as we celebrate Bike Week with a fun bicycle themed storytime and craft session! Children will enjoy some fun stories about cycling and make a bike-themed craft to bring home, as well as receiving a FREE Bike Week goodie bag.

Perfect for 4-7 years old but fun for everyone!

Through the magic of storytelling, children are transported to far-off lands, introduced to diverse characters, and exposed to a rich tapestry of language, all while developing fundamental literacy skills such as vocabulary acquisition, comprehension, and phonological awareness.

💃🏿Join dance artist Becci Whelan this Bealtaine for a welcoming and enjoyable dance workshop designed to support connection, creativity, and wellbeing. 💃

This guided movement experience is suitable for all abilities and offers a relaxed and supportive space to engage with dance—no previous experience required.

Drawing on a blend of contemporary dance, creative exploration, and mindfulness, participants will be gently guided through movement sequences that build confidence, coordination, and a sense of ease in the body. The workshop is structured yet adaptable, allowing each person to take part in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable.

With a focus on positivity, expression, and shared experience, this workshop celebrates dance as both an artform and a space for personal wellbeing—perfectly in tune with the spirit of Bealtaine.

Local Biodiversity Action Plan - Public Consultation

Wexford County Council has prepared a Draft Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) following consultation with various stakeholders. The Draft LBAP proposes a structured approach to biodiversity conservation and restoration at local level in County Wexford.

Council staff will be available, and a summary presentation will be given at each of the public drop-in consultation events at the following locations:

Enniscorthy Library – Tuesday, 12th May, 2026 – 2.30pm to 4pm
Gorey Library – Thursday, 21st May, 2026 – 7pm to 8.30pm
Wexford Library – Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026 – 7pm to 8.30pm
Our Lady’s Island Community Centre – Thursday, 4th June, 2026 – 1pm to 2.30pm
New Ross Library – Monday, 8th June, 2026 – 2.30pm to 4pm

In Conversation with author Roisin Meaney at New Ross Library - a Wexford Reads Festival Event.

A must‑attend event for book lovers, aspiring writers, and anyone who enjoys a good story well told.

Join us at New Ross Library as we welcome much‑loved Irish author Róisín Meaney.

Roisin will be in conversation with Jan Doran, library staff member, and they will discuss Roisin's writing life, her creative inspirations, and the stories behind her bestselling novels.

This relaxed, engaging evening will offer readers a chance to hear directly from one of Ireland’s most popular contemporary writers.

Roisin Meaney was born in Listowel, Co. Kerry, she has lived in the US, Canada, Africa and Europe but is now based in Clare, Ireland.

This Number One bestselling author is a consistent presence on the Irish bestseller list, and she is the author of twenty novels including ‘Life Before Us’, ‘It's That Time of Year’ and ‘The Restaurant’. She has also written books for children. Her latest book, ‘Second Chances’, was published in February 2026.

Wexford County Council Arts Office and Wexford Libraries invite applications for an Artist Bursary focused on the themes of commemoration and funded through the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

Commemoration Artists Bursaries 2026.
This artist bursary will offer the opportunity to support and invest in new work developed by a professional artist in any art form based in County Wexford.

📆 Closing date for applications is 2 June, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

There is one bursary for €5,000 and it will be awarded to artist(s) addressing the broad theme of commemoration.

This should be informed by the period of Irish history which was commemorated in the recent Decade of Centenaries Programme (1912-1923) as well as the post-civil war years (1924 -1935).

Applications are open to artists working in all artforms such as, but not limited to, literature, film, music, drama, visual arts, or artists working in a combination of art forms.

Turn your memories into stories with this interactive workshop led by Sheila Forsey, published historical fiction author and playwright.

This 2 hour, one-off creative writing workshop encourages participants to explore their own lives, memories, and experiences, transforming them into compelling personal stories or memoir pieces. Through engaging prompts, storytelling exercises, and expert guidance, attendees gain confidence in writing and sharing their work in a supportive environment.

In a time when many people are searching for connection, reflection, and meaning, there is a growing need for spaces where individuals can share and preserve their personal stories. Memoir and life writing give people the chance to celebrate their experiences and find creative expression in their own voices.

This workshop provides that safe and supportive space -helping participants honour their past, discover their storytelling voice, and connect with others through the power of shared memory.
