✨ A Landmark Day for Foynes Museum ✨
On Friday 12th June, we were honoured to officially open our new Event & Exhibition Hall, Blair Gallery and Sheridan Irish Coffee Experience at Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum.
It was a truly special occasion as we welcomed guests from across the community to celebrate this exciting new chapter in the museum’s story.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, for officially opening these wonderful new facilities and for his continued support of Ireland’s cultural heritage.
A sincere thank you also to JP and Noreen McManus for their generosity and ongoing support, which continues to make such an important contribution to projects that preserve and celebrate our unique history.
We were delighted to welcome elected representatives, public officials, members of our Board of Directors, supporters, partners, friends of the museum, and colleagues from across the tourism and heritage sectors. Your presence made the day all the more memorable.
Special thanks are due to our Chairman Eamonn Brennan, the Board of Directors, and our dedicated staff and volunteers whose hard work and commitment have helped bring this vision to life.
The opening of these new spaces represents a significant milestone for the museum. The Event & Exhibition Hall will create new opportunities for community gatherings and cultural events, the Blair Gallery will showcase remarkable stories from aviation history, and the Sheridan Irish Coffee Experience celebrates one of Ireland’s most famous creations, born here in Foynes.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on this historic day. We look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to experience these exciting additions for themselves.
Special thanks as always to for their continued support - it is much appreciated.
