Galway County Show

Galway County Show 16.06.2012-17.06.2012 The Galway County Show is one of the largest of its kind in Ireland and immensely popular with both locals and those from further afield.

The show is a weekend event that gives visitors the opportunity to see horses and ponies of all grades demonstrate their many talents. The Show is held on the grounds of the Brothers of Charity services in Kilcornan, Clarenbridge, Co.Galway. Starting both days at 09.30, there are six arenas with showjumping for horses and ponies over the two days. On Saturday, there’s in-hand showing of ponies and

all IPS classes, and for Sunday they have in-hand showing of horses and Connemara ponies, ridden and working hunter classes for horses and ponies, brood mares and foals (horses including Irish draught and sport horses), cattle, sheep and dogs. The Galway County Show is a great family day out, and there are Pony Club games all weekend, as well as amusements and trade stands, and Galway Bay FM will be broadcasting live on Sunday.
