Unusual emergency callout last night to Enniscrone Firestation, where this beautiful little Eastern Rosella had made an appearance. Obviously not a native he must have flow away from his owner. Poor guy was very hungry and delighted to tuck into some seeds soon as we got him home.
Great Adventure for our little rescuer in making, getting to see the big firetruck. Big thanks to all the lads from the station for calling us and for showing us the trucks.
If anyone is missing this little dude, or knows anyone that might, please get in touch with us, we would love to see him safely returned to their owner!

Some of the wild babies we currently have in our care 🀎 we have set up a Gofundme: https://gofund.me/c02d9e7ee for anyone who would like to donate towards their care. We are working around the clock to keep them fed, clean and safe until they are all grown and self-sufficient enough for release 😊 we appreciate every donation no matter how small, as we are 100% self-funded beyond your kind donations. Thank you for your continued support and we will keep everyone up to date with all of the babies' progress 🦊 πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ¦†πŸ₯🀎

An unusual start to the school day for on Thursday when we received a call-out about a mama duck and her 10 babies just outside the Boys Boarding House. As they were quite far from the nearest water source and close to the road, we decided to carefully move them through the school grounds to down to the Garavogue. After a few small setbacks, including Mama duck bringing in reinforcements in the form of Daddy duck, all 10 ducklings and parents were safe. A special shout-out to Deborah Moore, Tagdh Power and for their help πŸ¦†πŸ₯

This week we got a call-out from two lovely ladies who had found a swan at the side of the road, most likely having crash landed just short of the lake or possibly hitting the nearby electrical wires upon descent. Thankfully the swan had no obvious external injuries, but was lethargic, so it was decided it was best to help her back to the water where she seemed happy to get to. Hopefully she will regain some strength in her natural environment. A massive thank you to May and the kind volunteers who spent all day monitoring the swan ensuring her safety 🦒

We recently took in two little orphaned ducklings (named Waddle and Yellow) and are delighted to see they have settled in well - they are eating and drinking by themselves now with no intervention. We're going to look after them until they are strong enough to return to the wild - until then, enjoy the cuteness πŸ₯πŸ₯

A couple of weeks ago we got a call about a barn owl that was found sitting motionless amongst trees near a road. After finding and inspecting him, it appeared likely that he may have been hit by a car and suffered a head injury as indicated by his left eye. We took him in for rehabilitation and was delighted to see that after some time he had regained strength and mobility. We released him back to where he was found and wish him the best of luck back in the wild πŸ¦‰ A massive thank you to for reaching out and for being a part of his release πŸ™
