A very special day for BRIDGE Project clients at Horses Connect 🐴

Our clients recently had the opportunity to take part in a beautiful equine-assisted wellbeing session with Horses Connect, a Galway-based social enterprise that uses the connection between people and horses to support confidence, communication, trust and personal development.

For many of our clients, this was a chance to try something completely new in a calm, welcoming and supportive environment. Through gentle interaction, observation and hands-on activities with the horses, participants were encouraged to build confidence, practise communication skills and enjoy time outdoors together. A sincere thank you to the wonderful team at Horses Connect for creating such a positive and meaningful experience for our group.

Galway City Partnership at SICAP Human Rights & Equality Workshop

Staff from Galway City Partnership attended the SICAP Support Workshop on Human Rights & Equality, held in Limerick on the June 10th. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to share learning and experiences on how the principles of Human Rights and Equality can be effectively applied in the delivery of SICAP supports.

On the 31st of May, Ukrainian community group “UA Mriya” supported by GCP, held its end-of-year concert — a true celebration of creativity, inspiration, and children’s talents.

The programme featured theatre performances, vocal and dance numbers, instrumental pieces, as well as beautiful piano and violin performances by our students and invited guests.

The first play, “The League of Odd Socks,” marked the debut of our young actors on the big stage, bringing together theatre, music, singing, and dance in one exciting story.

The second production, “Forgotten Things,” will represent Ukraine at the Codart International Talent Festival in Spain at the end of June.

Bright vocal and dance performances touched the audience and showed the high level of preparation and dedication of our children.

On May 29th under SICAP Employment Supports a Manual Handling Training Course took place supporting individuals with overall employability prospects. After successfully completing the training each person will receive 3-year certification, providing them with a legally recognized skill that enhances their safety awareness and meets employer requirements.

Next week is Men's Health Week!

But why should we focus on men’s health? 👇

Because it’s about more than individual responsibility.

While men play a vital role in looking after their own health and wellbeing, the reality is that many factors influencing men’s health sit outside their control. That’s why improving outcomes requires more than awareness – it requires action from all of us.

We all have a role to play in creating environments that support men and boys to live healthier lives.

This Men’s Health Week 2026 runs from June 15th to 21st and we’re calling on everyone across the region to take one step at a time and aim for progress, not perfection.

Whether it’s starting a conversation, making a small lifestyle change, or supporting initiatives in your workplace or community – small, practical actions can make a big difference.

Let’s focus our attention on the men and boys around us and commit to making meaningful change, together.
