Repair Café in Westside

Our Repair Café will take place from 3:00pm until 5:00pm next Tuesday 9th June in Westside Resource Centre. The focus of the Westside Repair Café is on clothing. We are promoting an environment that encourages repair in order to reduce clothing waste and allow people to learn new skills in a supportive community setting. You are invited to bring along one item to be repaired with the help of our trusty volunteers. This is an ideal opportunity to learn how to mend your clothes whilst enjoying a social cuppa and a chat.

If you have an item to be mended, please book your slot by contacting Westside Resource Centre on 091-528325.

Westside on course for climate action

Climate Action Westside would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jacinta Barrins for her recent climate course at Westside Resource Centre. Climate Action Westside hosted the course over the past five weeks and we hope that all of our members – and indeed the people from across the community who joined us specifically for the course – found it informative and inspirational. All of the participants will come back together for one more meeting in September 2026 at which time our chosen climate actions will be assessed and progress measured. Best of luck to all involved… and keep up the good work.
