03/06/26 - **Incident - Ambulance Assist - Cliff Path Faller** Units tasked to a female tourist with a lower leg injury near the Lighthouse at Wicklow Head. Also attended National Ambulance Service (NAS)

07/06/26 - Individual Cliff Assessments - Blackcastle, Wicklow - Our newest recruits and some of our seasoned climbers attended their individual cliff assessment with our external training provider ARCH Ltd. While it was a renewal for some, every cliff operator must be assessed every three years. It was the first time getting qualified for our newest members. Congrats to all, including some from our northern cliff unit in Howth who travelled down.

02/05/26 - Ambulance Assist - Wicklow Harbour - Team was tasked to assist NAS Paramedics with a female who had fallen and fractured a lower limb. The casualty was packaged and transported from the beach to an awaiting ambulance.

03/05/26 - Cliff Rescue - Bray Head Cliff Walk - The team was paged to attend a lone hiker who had become cragfast while climbing from the cliff walk to the cross. The team found the casualty quickly and helped them off the cliff. Our thanks to Bray Fire Service who assisted and to Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard Unit Drone Team who were also tasked to assist.

04/05/26 - Ambulance Assist - Wicklow Harbour - The team was tasked to a casualty who had fallen and rolled down a steep embankment above the harbour. The casualty was in and out of consciousness. Our team assessed and treated the casualty until the arrival of NAS Paramedics. Then assisted with packaging the patient for onward transport to hospital. We would also like to acknowledge the many locals who also came to the aid this casualty.

20/04/26 - **Incident Cliff Faller** - MRCC Dublin tasked us to a teenager who had fallen from the cliff walk at Bray. Also tasked was Wicklow Fire, Gardaí and National Ambulance Service (NAS). Persons on scene could hear the casualty but not see them. A full cliff rescue team was tasked and discussions were had with our drone team from Dun Laoghaire to assist. Our new RHIB, which is not operational yet, was out on a training exercise and was requested to attend as a vessel of opportunity. While the cliff team was travelling to the location, the RHIB located the casualty on the rocks and safely removed them to the boat. The crews treated the casualty while transporting them to the marina and where the ambulance had been redirected. The casualty was handed over to NAS paramedics for further treatment and transport to hospital. First rescue by our RHIB!

⚠️ Orange Rain Warning ⚠️ - Met Éireann has issue a Orange Weather Warning for Wicklow Thursday 5th February 0300 - Friday 6th 0300. This may lead to flooding due to the high soil saturation levels currently in Wicklow and South Dublin. While this warning is covering the 24hr period from 0300 on Thursday, the public should understand the flooding risk may extend into the 24hrs after this warning.

***Incident - Person in the water*** - Just after 8pm last night the pagers activated for Greystones/Wicklow Coast Guard Unit. Tasked by MRCC Dublin to a swimmer in difficulty off Greystones. Shore teams encouraged the casualty to 'Float to Live'. With challenging weather and sea conditions, our D-Class inshore rescue boat launched and retrieved the casualty and brought them ashore for assessment by NAS Paramedics and our local 'Critical' Doctor.
