Wasn’t to be for me this time round but I don’t regret throwing my hat into the ring at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the last few weeks on the canvass trail, meeting people and discussing issues on the doorsteps and footpaths of the county.

I will still continue to work away as always and help as many clubs and organisations in our community as I can to get the support they need and deserve, that won’t ever change.

I’d like to thank my friends and family for their unconditional support throughout my campaign, I couldn’t have done it without ye, and once again a massive thank you to all those who helped out in any way with posters, canvassing, leaflet drops and all the other little jobs a local election entails.

Finally I would like to wish the seven successful candidates the very best of luck as they go on to take their seats in Meath County Council.
While we don’t always agree on everything, each of us entered this race with the best of intentions and to do our best for the people of the Kells Municipal District and I’ve no doubt the seven elected officers will do their very best for this area.

Thanks again and you’d never know where you might see me next,

Regards,

Seamus

At 97 Paddy Dunne from Carnaross is a legend and a wealth of knowledge, a great man to have canvassing for you and I was very thankful for his support during the week.

Indeed a very special thank you to all those who have helped out with canvassing and the general running and racing around over the last few weeks of the campaign, it has being greatly appreciated and no matter what happens tomorrow I want to thank you all for your support , it genuinely means the world to me so thank you.

A few people have being in contact to say they have not yet received their Polling Cards in the post, but rest assured you can still vote tomorrow whether you have a polling card or not, as long as you are a registered and eligible voter and bring a form of personal I.D with you.

The list of acceptable Identification documents are attached.

If your unsure of your Polling Station that would usually be on your Polling Card, you can click on the link below to check the register and find your local station or click on the second link to see a list of all Polling Locations in the county:

Delighted to be out and about on the canvass trail the last few days and visit the former home of my Grandparents, the Bradys, in Rathbrack, Carnaross.

As anyone who knows me will know, this area means an awful lot to me, and that pride in your community and caring about where you come from is something I feel very strongly about.

If elected to the County Council I promise to do everything in my power to help the people of my community and further afield with any issues or concerns they feel are important, and will represent the people of North Meath to the very best of my ability to hopefully bring about satisfactory resolutions to any and all issues that arise.

I was a man Blessed amongst some wonderful women yesterday!

A lovely evening at the Fine Gael Rally in Navan yesterday evening with great support for all election candidates in the region both local and European.

The countdown is on now for Friday where I look forward to hopefully getting elected and becoming your voice in the Kells Municipal District.

Delighted to be on local Radio station LMFM’s “Michael Reade Show” this morning to get a chance to introduce myself and chat about some local issues that have regularly come up on the doorsteps as I’ve canvassed the North Meath area recently.

Today our election coverage kicks off with local election candidates from Co Meath - Michael is joined in studio by Cllr Aisling Dempsey (FF) Cllr David Gilroy (Independent) Cllr Helen Meyer (SF) and Seamus McGee (FG)

Great to get support from Ministers Simon Coveney and Martin Heydon at the Convention today. 😊

Another place with traffic issues is Ballinacree and we badly need to look at getting traffic calming measures installed at the church and school area to make this lovely little village as safe as possible for all.
