We share the phone with Bonane Heritege Park, afterall we are the 'parent' organization. Just in case you were wondering...the park is open from sunrise to sunset :)

Bonane is located on the N71 Kenmare to

Glengarriff road, surrounded by the Sheehy and Caha mountains, with the river Sheen flowing through it. Bonane derives its name from Fionn Mac Cumhall, the legendary leader of the Fianna, who maintained a Both or hunting lodge here - hence the old Gaelic name Both- Fhionáin or Fionn's house, now anglicised to Bonane. The local river is named after Fionn's son Oisin. Originally known as Abha Oisin or Oisin's river, it has since been anglicised to River Sheen. Even though we are a small community, we are a very vibrant and active one although we don’t have a central focal point it has never hindered our spirit. We have always had a very strong sense of community.

Best of luck from all in Bonane

Wishing our own Seanie O'Shea the very best of luck in the 2026 All-Ireland Final!

Everyone at Kenmare Shamrocks is incredibly proud of all that Seanie has achieved. From the pitches of Kenmare to the biggest stage in Gaelic football, he continues to represent our club, our community, and Kerry with pride, passion, and determination.

Seanie is an inspiration to so many young footballers who dream of following in his footsteps. His dedication, humility, and commitment to the game show our young players what can be achieved through hard work and belief.

We're behind you every step of the way.
Best of luck, Seanie - bring Sam back home!
