I came across this website and I thought people might find it useful. If you have a spare 20 minutes, do the online training, it might help you notice something that you might otherwise miss. If we are all aware of how other people are feeling and know the questions to ask, we may be able to help when they are feeling very low and help them see a professional:
This training, which takes approximately 20 minutes, focuses on breaking stigma and encouraging open conversations.
The training will provide you with the tools to enable you to: Identify the signs that someone may be suicidal
Employ the correct language in asking the appropriate questions
Direct that person to the appropriate help.
It can be summarized as ‘Show you Care, Ask the Question, Make the Call.’
This will help save lives.
