This is my final year chair project. I designed the chair as a boardroom chair for Apple. I took inspiration from design classics like the Eames lounge chair as apple do with many of their products. It captures the ethos of Apple, Pays homage to the Eames lounge chair whilst still being new and contemporary and expresses its narrative of connection trough the under frame.

This cabinet was my final major project at University. Its inspiration came from the nature I grew up around, the river. It captures the flow of the river through its use of highlighted grain and the beautiful chaotic over growth of the river bank in its art. The shapes are laminated to encourage movement. They will expand and warp with the changing of the seasons.

This table was designed and made for the national crafts competition. The inspiration came from the age of the timber. As Yew is such an old growing tree I referred to megalithic tombs (portal dolmens) to create an experience of looking upon something which is ancient.
