Celebrate Creativity After Dark at Cruinniú na nÓg Kilkenny
Join us for a magical evening of creativity and community as Kilkenny comes alive with a vibrant programme of night time events for Cruinniú na nÓg 2026.
Young people across the county are invited to make, create, perform and explore through an inspiring range of hands-on experiences. From Medieval Tile Pottery Workshops at Happy Pottery, to the powerful “Mo Dhúchas” exhibition with Kilmacow Youth Club, there’s something for every young creative.
Celebrate inclusion and talent at Celebrating Ability Through Music at the Newpark Hotel, experience the sensory world of Scent, and enjoy the uplifting voices of Guthanna ón Róbhar at Rower Community Hall. Building confidence and creativity through Stitches and Stories with My Skin and the Bunting Fairy, while budding animators can dive into animation workshops across Kilkenny libraries from June 2nd.
Cruinniú na nÓg is all about empowering children and young people to express themselves, connect with their communities and discover the joy of creativity. With a strong focus on inclusion, participation and community-led programming, these events ensure every young voice is heard and celebrated.

📣 Africa Day 2026
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and helped make it such a vibrant and memorable day. The atmosphere, energy and sense of community truly made it something special.

👏We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our partners and supporters, including Irish Aid, Kilkenny Volunteer Centre, Civil Defence, and the Community Gardaí, to name a few, for their invaluable support.

🎵🎤 The day was filled with incredible performances from AHA Storytellers, Madalitso Cantwell, Stone & Jezreel, Global Dance Club, Somalian Dhaanto Dancers, and Patrick Naughton on drums, showcasing the richness and diversity of cultures in our community.

🍽️ Delicious food was enjoyed by all, thanks to Betty Sinyan (Gambia), Chilel Sumbunu Secka (Jollof Rice) and a wonderful selection of Somalian cuisine.

Free Creative events at Kilkenny Library Services.
From June 2nd, libraries across Kilkenny will come alive with a vibrant series of creative events for children and young people as part of this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg Festival.
The programme was developed directly from consultation and feedback with local communities and youth projects, these workshops reflect what young people in Kilkenny want to see, try and experience. From animation and storytelling to hands on creative activities, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved, learn new skills and have fun.
This programme celebrates the voices of young people, creating welcoming spaces where creativity can flourish and ideas can grow.
Join us in your local library and be part of a county wide celebration of imagination, participation and creative expression.
